Mental Health Results

Increases in exposure to training were intended to increase general knowledge in employees and clinical providers on the benefits of smoking cessation, particularly as they apply to those with mental health disorders, reduce clinical providers’ perceived barriers to intervening on tobacco use, increase providers’ screening for tobacco use, and increase the provision of evidence-based interventions to address tobacco use among consumers. With our training, we were able to significantly increase training provided, address perceived barriers, and influence significant changes in several behaviors that impact the success of smoking cessation in clients.
